The ashen clouds that teased of rain during the trip finally let go their fury while we sat down for the final dinner of the vacation. Over a large bowl of steamed clams at the Big Wave Cafe in Manzanita, Bob and I brooded over how we would spend the next day, our last day.
Would the deluge last the whole night and into tomorrow? Would plans need to be changed? In the meantime, I would have to just sit back and savor the grilled line-caught wild Alaskan (close enough!) Halibut until the rainstorm had passed. What an inconvenience!
